He will be missing this weekend's minicamp practices to attend the 4th Annual Adrian Peterson Day in Palestine, Texas. Some pundits are trying to make a big deal of it, implying that he is missing the sessions because of contract negotiations. I don't buy it; they obviously have no clue how big the Vikings have become in Oklahoma & east central Texas because of A.D. They couldn't buy that kind of publicity. If you're interested in the festivities, you need to be in Palestine before 10:00 a.m. this coming Saturday. That's when the parade starts from the courthouse to Old Town.
